The Power of Positive Affirmations

Do use positive affirmations in your life?

I find positive affirmations to be a powerful practice in my daily life. They help me set my intentions and help keep me focused on what I truly want.

How can you come up with positive affirmations that will have the most impact on your life?

I’m going to teach you…

First, it’s important to understand the concept of the Law of Attraction.

Have you heard of the phrase, “Your thoughts determine your reality”?

This is the basic principle of the Universal Law of Attraction.

What you put your attention to, you will attract more of into you life.

Therefore, when you are in lack, and thinking a negative thought about something, you are perpetuating having more of that come into your reality.

In turn, when you are feeling abundant, and thinking positive thoughts about something, you are sending out that vibration into the Universe, which will in turn multiply and create more of that in your experience.

How do we change a negative thought pattern?

I am going to go through an exercise with you called “What do you want? Why do you want it? How do you want to feel in the having of it?” to show you how to change a negative thought pattern into a positive affirmation.

Let’s take something you don’t want.

For example: “I don’t have enough money to pay my bills.”

(Money is a very common topic to have a lack mentality around.)

Now, let’s turn this around.

What do you want?

“I want to have more than enough money to pay my bills, and money leftover for all of my fun activities and my extras…like travel, entertainment, and gifts!”

Why do you want this?

“I want to be at peace with my finances.”

This is important to say in the positive.

Saying something like “I don’t want to worry about money anymore” which is in the negative, is putting the idea that you don’t want to have something anymore, which will actually continue to attract that into your life.

Instead, by saying it in the positive, “I want to be at peace with my finances” or better yet, “I am at peace with my finances,” you are putting the energy out there that you have a good relationship with money.

If you are saying you want something, you will continue the cycle of wanting it. But by already feeling like you have it, you can attract more of that to you.

How do you want to feel?

“I want to feel abundant.”

“I want to feel prosperous.”

“I want to feel free to do the things I want to do in life.”

Now let’s take it a step further.

What is your desire statement, or your positive affirmation around money?

Positive Affirmation Statements

Here are some ideas for positive affirmation statements around wanting to bring in more money into your life.

It is important to state them in the present tense and in the positive, as if you already have them.

“I am open to receiving the abundance the Universe has to offer.”

“I allow the abundance of the Universe to flow through me.”

“I am so grateful to feel this abundance every day of my life.”

These are positive affirmation statements.

How do these statements feel to you? Do they feel lighter? Do they feel good? Do they feel real?

Positive affirmation statements must feel good and real. They must be believable to you.

Play around with your positive affirmation statements until you find the ones that work for you. They will make you feel so good that you smile or giggle.

Now practice saying them outloud.

Write them down on nice paper or type them up.

Put them where you can see them often.

Share them with those you love.

Really embody them.

Then let them go and let the Universe provide.

You can leave a comment with your new affirmation statement. I’d love to see what intentions you are setting and I’d love to help hold that vision for you.
