What does it mean to find your tribe?
Do you have a good support system around you?
Do you have people in your life that support your passions and encourage you to be the best version of yourself?
Finding your tribe is so important to build or uphold your confidence, help you stay focused, and help you thrive.
By “find your tribe” I mean find those people in your life that you feel safe around, that you trust with the most vulnerable parts of yourself, that don’t put you down, and that have your back no matter what. Those people that want to see you grow and believe in what you stand for.
I have had many tribes in my lifetime. My family growing up was my first tribe. They supported my education, my athletic goals, and my early childhood dreams. My basketball team in high school was my next tribe. This was a group of determined, athletic, and strong minded females that came together to win the State Championship. My first tribe as an adult was my fisheries observer clan in Hawaii. This was a group of adventurous biologists who bonded over stories of living at sea in hairy conditions.
Recently, I started my coaching and essential oil businesses and I found my new tribes.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to Orlando on an almost all expenses paid for leadership retreat with my essential oil team. We had to qualify to attend the retreat and once there, we bonded over self development exercises, leadership training, and a team scavenger hunt. My a-ha moment came on Sunday evening as I was sitting in our team room getting a “zytoscan” which is a scan of the body using a software program that reads the biomarkers in your body to see where you are out of alignment and it suggests different oils to help get you back to homeostasis. In that moment, I realized I did find my tribe. My team of natural health and wellness advocates! They are so supportive, loving, caring, appreciative, and giving. These women, and some men, hold service at the forefront of their hearts. I am so grateful to have found them. We lift each other up, we are not afraid to be open and vulnerable with each other, and we have lots and lots of fun!
Did you find your tribe? Do you have a support system that you trust and that believes in you? Do you have people in your life that have your back no matter what?
